Richard returned home to his heavenly family on February 24th, 2013. Richard was born May 15, 1925; he married Beverly Elaine Johnson in the Salt Lake City Temple May 22, 1952. He immediately befriended anyone that crossed his path and maintained a "young at heart" attitude throughout his life. He had a devout love of the outdoors and spent many a fall in the woods on hunting excursions with his family. His passion for gardening not only fed his family but those less fortunate within the community. He was a man that deeply loved his family and cared for his aging mother with devotion and dedication. Dick, also known as "the candy man" in his ward always had a stash of candy in his pocket for the kids keeping them quiet and happy during many a church service. A member of the Teamsters, he drove for IML for over 40 years, maintaining a safe driving record throughout. Proceeded in death by mother Kate M. Dalrymple, wife Beverly, daughter Susan, daughter in-law Shelly, grandson Adam R. Hill. Survived by sons Warren (Leslie), Bart, daughter Debra (Randy) Brimhall, 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren. He is going home knowing that his family loves him deeply. A viewing will be held for family and friends on March 2nd from 9:30am to 11:30 at the LDS Church 4366 South 1500 East Holladay, UT 84124, followed by grave side service at Mt Olivet Cemetery. 1342 East 5th South.
