Richard Victor Tamburrino passed away peacefully on July 11, 2011. He was surrounded by his family, the loves of his life.

Richard was born on November 3, 1946 in Providence, Rhode Island to the late Emilio Victor Tamburrino and Adeline Stella Calcagni. He married Marie Elena Mumford on June 20, 1971 in Pasadena California.

He graduated from Cranston High School East in 1964. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Cal State Los Angeles in 1969. Richard also went on to pursue a second Bachelor of Science in Business Systems from National University, a Master of Science in Business Management from University Southern California Los Angeles, and furthered his education with a Chiropractic professional license from Palmer College West.

He served in the United States Air Force from 1970-1976. He was stationed at Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, California. Richard learned how to fly the C-5 and C-141 planes during the Vietnam War. He was Honorably Discharged from the Air Force as a Captain.

Richard and his family moved out to Utah in 1994 while working for Northrop Grumman as an IT Specialist. Retiring from Northrop Grumman after 13 years, he began working at Xango as a Software Engineer/Systems Analyst for the last 5 years.
His most important expression of love was his family. If he wasn't playing softball with his daughters, he was playing his guitar, watching a Boston Red Sox game or singing an Elvis song.
Besides his wife Marie, he is survived by his three daughters: Gina Marie (Matthew) Murray (Mason and Sage), Lisa Michelle Tamburrino(AJ McNichol), Lauren Lee Tamburrino, his mother Adeline Tamburrino, his sister Diane Regina (David) LaBier, Rhondi Pullar (Mark and Rachael),Erick (Randi) Jenkins(Alice and Harrison), Cristi (Timothy) Rodda, Sylvia Kincaid, Elaine (Bob) Uhl, Michelle (Dave) McCain (Mason, Lacy and Gavin), Kenny ( Jen)Cifelli ( Quinten, Wyatt and Logan), Leanna (Steve) Young(Jared), Jackie (Russ) Fostar (Justin, Madison and Chelsea), and Peter (Thelma)Tamburrino.
Celebrating his first birthday in Heaven include Karen and Doug Jenkins, Victor Tamburrino, Scott Uhl, Billie Linke, Stella Mumford, Frank Tamburrino, Rose Tamburrino, Peter and Lena Tamburrino, and Donna Jean Tamburrino.
Memorial will be held in California.
