Ricky Lee Rawson

Ricky Lee Rawson; 39, of Salt Lake City, Utah died Wednesday, July 23, 2008. He was born March 6, 1969 in Santa Clara, California, the son of Richard Robin Rawson and Deanna Evelyn Durfee Rawson. He attended schools in Kearns and graduated from West Jordan High School. Ricky served as an LDS missionary to the California, San Bernadino Mission from 1988 to 2000. Following his mission, he attended Snow College where he graduated Magna Kum Lada. At Snow, he was awarded an academic scholarship for his grades. Ricky married Vickie Huntsman in the Manti LDS Temple. He is survived by their three children; Justin, Sabrina and Matthew Rawson. Ricky worked as a Technical Specialist for L3 Communications. While working at L3, he was honored with an award for outstanding achievement. He was also written about in the magazine, "Who's Who in America." Ricky is survived by his children, his parents, five brothers and sisters; Clefton Rawson, Randy Rawson, Rusty Rawson, Robin Rawson Luker, Joseph Rawson and his grandmother; Mabel Durfee. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 28, 2008 in the Jordan Meadows LDS Ward Chapel (3935 South 1500 West) at 11:00 a.m. The family will meet with friends on Monday prior to services from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Salt Lake City Cemetery. We share our appreciation for the kind thoughts and acts given to Ricky and his family since his accident.
