Robert Gordon Le Baron

R. Gordon Le Baron passed away quietly at his home in Orem Utah on January 6, 2009. He was born in Barnwell Alberta Canada to T. Ralph Le Baron and Mary Louise Cheney. Gordon lived in Grand Junction for 30 years and recently moved to Orem Utah. He started his career as a geologist in Canada, eventually returning to school to become a much loved teacher and instructor for the LDS Church Education System for 21 years. He also sold Insurance for Farmers Insurance for many years from which he eventually retired, but his greatest love was teaching.
Gordon is survived by his wife Idale, children: Jeanene (Stan Kellett), Robert (Aleta), Dahlin (Pamela), Christine (Ralph Whiting), Michael (Sheila), Colleen (Clif Larsen), Regan (Teresa), Jon (Lori), 40 Grandchildren and 18 Great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers David and Theron, and their daughter, Donna.
Funeral services will be held Monday January 12, 2009 at the LDS Redlands Chapel 2235 Kingston Road at 10:00. There will be a viewing at 9:00 at the same location. On Tuesday, January 13 there will be a viewing held at 10:00 at the American Fork 149th Ward LDS Church, 1305 N 100E, with the service following at 11:00. Dedication of the grave will follow at the American Fork Cemetery.
