Robert I. Donaldson, 87, passed away at home of natural causes on May 27, 2009, in American Fork, Utah.
Bob was born in Winter Quarters, Utah to Walter and Mary Donaldson.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marlene, daughters; Dana (Brad) Smith, American Fork; Kim (Gary) Winter, Fresno California; Kaye (Scott) Jewkes, Draper; Jeremy Donaldson, American Fork, eleven grandchildren, and five great grandchildren, brothers Bill (Connie) Donaldson, Murray; Jim (JoAnn) Donaldson, West Valley. Preceded in death by parents; family members Doris, Scott, Mary, Maxine, Don, Walt, son-in-law Lance, and daughter Lynne.
Bob served three years at an air base in England during World War II. He spent the next 35 years employed in Human Resource with the Bureau of Reclamation in Salt Lake City. After retirement he continued to enjoy reading, singing, playing the guitar, and spending time with Marlene, the love of his life. He has been a great example of love and patience for his children and grandchildren as he endured to the end.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 1st, at 12:00pm, in the Hillcrest 1st Ward building; 949 North 540 West, American Fork. Viewing will begin at 10:30am at the same location. Online condolences may be given at www.serenicare.com
Interment at Wasatch Lawn Memorial, Salt Lake City. The Family wishes to thank IHC Hospice, and especially Sharon Jones, for the kind and loving care given to Dad this past year.
