Robert R. Hawkins

Robert R. Hawkins, St. George, UT, age78, passed away November 19, 2009 in St. George, UT. He was born December 11, 1930, in Salt Lake City, UT, to Claude F. Hawkins & Alice V. Hawkins (Hanks). He married Beverly Ferguson, on August 30, 1950, in Provo, Utah and they were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Following Beverly's death in 1997 he married Edith Jensen on June 19, 1999, in St. George, Utah Temple. Bob enjoyed, loving his family, his mission locator and temple service and friends, computers, genealogy, reading and his dogs. Our special loving Dad left us on November 19, 2009, much too soon for us, but just right for him. He is now with his sweet Beverly. Dad, we will miss your infectious smile, and all your old, old jokes. Thank you for your wisdom, the words of love you shared, your gentle heart and publishing of the Hawkins Herald and Dixie Flier. You have left a legacy of love for the gospel, caring and thoughtfulness. We will miss you. He is survived by Children: Hallie V. Berrett, Brad A. (Liz), James R., (Kathie), Stacy L. Godnick, (Russ), Tracy L. (Jenny), Bryce R. (Nancy); 28 Grandchildren; 27 Great Grandchildren; and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by wives; Beverly Ferguson and Edith Jensen; son in law Vaughn Berrett; and grandson Joshua Berrett. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at 12:00 (Noon) at the Butler West Stake Center 1845 East 7200 South Salt Lake City, UT. A visitation will also be held one hour prior to services. Interment will take place at the East Lawn Memorial Hills Cemetery, Provo, Utah.
