Robert Lloyd Jensen

Robert L. Jensen (Bob or BJ), born 13 March, 1941 in Lewiston, Utah passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family May 19, 2008. After high school Bob joined the Marine Corps where he served his Country for 5 years. After his return from service he met and later married Barbara Elizabeth Brunyer of Salt Lake City.
Bob was a remarkable craftsman and worked his entire career in the Construction field, where you can to this day drive around the Utah valley and see many of the buildings and projects he was part of. Bob and his wife Barbara called West Jordan, Utah home for most of their married life and there they raised their family. Later they both built their dream log home in the mountains of Fruitland Utah where they have spent the last 10+ years of his life. Bob enjoyed trips to Lake Powell, hunting the Utah Mountains, and had a love for his horses. Bob had a great love for his family and spent many happy hours helping his children with projects around their own homes.
He is survived by his devoted wife Barbara; his children: Darrin (Lori) Jensen, Highland, Utah, Teresa (TJ) Thorne, Herriman, Utah. He also leaves behind his grandchildren: Jake Jensen, Preslie Thorne, & CJ Thorne. In addition he leaves behind two sisters: Ann Wolford & Diana Miller; three brothers: Paul & Lyle Jensen & James Whitelock; a sister-in-law Christie Severens; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oleen L. Jensen, Helen Wells, Barbara (Bobby) Jensen, two brothers: Gary Jensen & Ronnie Whitelock, a sister Carolyn Jensen and a daughter Debbie Jensen.
The family would like to thank all the neighbors and friends who helped and loved Bob so much. The family also would like to thank Love Healthcare who helped with his care the last few days of his life.
A memorial service will be held Sat., May 31, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the 16th Ward Chapel 10962 N. 6400 W. in Highland Utah. His family invites all friends and family members to a gathering directly after the memorial services for a luncheon at 12:30 p.m. in Bob's honor at 10431 N. 6400 W., Highland, Utah.
