Roberta Lynn Duffy February 19, 1961 to September 29, 2010
Roberta "Robin" Lynn Duffy, 49 of West Jordan, Utah passed away peacefully on September 29, 2010 at her home after courageously fighting breast cancer.
Robin was born February 19, 1961 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the daughter of William James Duffy Sr. and Patricia Jean Blair Duffy. She grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and graduated from Plum High School. Robin continued her education gaining a certification as a computer technician. Robin used her computer training as she worked nearly 5 years as a Software Trainer at Digital Technology, 4 years as an account manager for VW Press and ten years as billing manager for Riverton Family Health Center.
On June 24, 1994, Robin married Christopher B. Vander Wilt in Bluffdale, Utah. They shared 16 years together.
Robin loved life and kept herself active in many activities. She sang in a girls chorus and church choir, hiked and biked. She enjoyed being in the out of doors. These activities provided one of her other favourite activities, site seeing and observing wildlife. Above all, she found ways to serve anyone and everyone she saw or knew.
She is survived by her husband, Christopher B Vander Wilt. Her parents, William J and Patricia Jean Duffy. Two brothers, William (Janet) Duffy Jr. and Michael (Suzanne) Duffy, and a sister in law, Sandy Vander Wilt and their children.
Funeral services were held Friday, October 1, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the RCA Building in Bluffdale, Utah. Visitations were held Thursday, September 30th from 6 to 8:00 p.m. and Friday, October 1st prior to services from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the RCA Building. The interment followed services in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.
