Roberto Rizo

Miguel Roberto Rizo, born October 25, 1929 in La Piedad, Michoacan, Mexico, was called by his Heavenly Father on August 27, 2010 at 6:35 p.m. in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is preceded in death by his parents, Miguel Rizo and Aurora Amezcua, as well as his brother Alfonso Rizo Amezcua, and sister Lupe Rizo Amezcua, all in Mexico. He is survived by his wife, Maria Luisa Rizo of Elko, his children Miguel Rizo and Victoria Rizo Lenshyn (husband: Gary Lenshyn), both of Massachusetts; his brothers Jose Trinidad Rizo of Mexico and Everardo Rizo (wife: Lorenza) of Elko; sisters Ana Maria Rizo and Victoria Rizo of Mexico, as well as many nieces and nephews of both Mexico and the United States.
Roberto resided in Elko, Nevada where he met his wife, Maria Luisa, whom he married on September 5, 1992. He worked hard all his life and enjoyed the satisfaction of being able to provide for his family. After retirement he remained active daily in his garden and yard. As a man of faith, he exhibited unwavering faithfulness to his Lord; he remained honest and upright with all, and loyal and loving toward his family. Roberto will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
