Rodney Lawrence Brandhagen Sr., 76, passed away June 10, 2007 in West Valley City, Utah. He was born September 23, 1930 in Canton, South Dakota to Lawrence and Ethel Hendrix Brandhagen.
He is a veteran of the US Army having served during 1947 to 1952. He married Carol Gene Hodges October 6, 1978 and later renewed their vows June 12, 2004. Rodney worked as a Master Machinist. He won ribbons and trophies for dog training and hunting with his dogs. He won a trophy at a young age for ice racing. Rodney's other hobbies and interests included hunting, fishing, woodworking, stained glass, panning for gold and reading all kinds of books.
He is survived by his wife, children Rodney Lawrence Jr., Ronda Lee, Michael Eugene, Gail Ann, Susan Marie, Greg Allen, Scott Francis, 16 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and step brothers Jerry Wilson and James Wilson. Preceded in death by his parents, sisters Fern and Beverly.

A memorial service will be held 10:00 am, Saturday, June 16, 2007 at the West Prairie Lutheran Church in Lennox, South Dakota.
Graveside services and interment will be 11:00 am, Friday, June 29, 2007 at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park, 17111 South 1700 West, Riverton, Utah.
