Born March 22, 1958 to Goodly Parents: Donald Martel Chevalier and Eleanor May Nelson-Chevalier formerly of Great Falls Montana. Ronald Martel Chevalier passed away on March 6, 2007 at 3:25 am. As a young child Ron was always a happy-go-lucky boy. As a four year old, he showed his love for others by giving away to friends his only three cookies, which left him with none. In his youth, Ron lived and worked his summers at the family's resort: Kiowa, near Glacier National park. Some of the many roles he played at Kiowa were Kentucky Fried Chicken Cook, Lumber-Jack, Fisher-man, Bear-skinner, Ditch-Digger and the refined skill of major Water-Fighting. Ron loved the out doors and loved being with his family. Ron graduated from Charles M. High school in 1976. During the years following, he attended Rick's college in Rexburg Idaho. In 1979-1981 he served a mission for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served faithfully in the Philadelphia , Pennsylvania mission, bringing the knowledge of our Savior Jesus Christ to many wonderful people there. Upon coming home, he met and married, Lisa Williams formerly of Whitehall Montana . The couple lived in Great Falls and Dutton Montana before making their home in Tooele Utah . They have seven children: Jennifer Chevalier-Mathson currently of Great Falls , Jessica, Joslyn, Mallory, Malissa, Dallin and Whitney. Ron joined the Airforce, because of his love for his country. He obtained a BS degree in hospital management and continued on to become an EMT. Then he became an Aircraft Mechanic and served in Iraq in 2005. Upon returning to the US he continued with the Air National Guard, where he received several awards for service. He then worked as a Police Officer for the Federal Reserve. He loved working as an officer and enjoyed immensely the comradeship of both these organizations. He was looking forward to entering S.W.A.T. Team training for which he had been chosen. Ron will be remembered and missed by all who knew him, both friends, co-workers Children, Family and many Nieces and Nephews. His siblings are, Cindy Lee Hooper of South Jordan Utah, Rick Leon Chevalier of Tooele Utah, Gary Dean Chevalier of Billings Montana, Michelle Lynn Roy of Huntley Illinois, Robert Mark Chevalier of Kanosh Utah, Gregory Paul Chevalier of Chubbuck Idaho, and Angela Dawn Nelson of Valencia California. Additional children of the Family are Jeannie Kerr of Shelley Idaho, Mark William Chevalier of Oregon, Tami Lynn Parsons of West Jordan Utah, and Bethany Lynn Chevalier of West Jordan. We will all cherish our memories of his love for others, compassion for the downtrodden, Humor during the best and worst of times, and strength in standing up for what is right. The Funeral and viewing will take place on Monday March 10, 2008, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Prairie 7th Ward building, 5154 West 7000 South, in West Jordan Utah. Viewing begins at 9:00 a.m. Funeral will start at 11:00 a.m. Graveside services including the Air National Guard will be conducted, following the funeral in the nearby town of Herriman, all are invited to attend.
