Ronald Milford Curtis, 81, of Provo Utah, died January 18, 2010 after complications from a stroke.
Born May 26, 1928 in Provo, Utah to Milford E. Curtis and Ruth Bleak he lived most of his life in the Orem-Provo area. He married Janice Rhea Drake on Nov. 12, 1966 and they were later sealed in the Provo Temple. He graduated in 1947 from Provo High and after entering college, enlisted in the US Navy. He was stationed in Tennessee and Japan as a petty officer third class in naval aviation. After an honorable discharge, he worked for 30 years at Geneva Steel in the Nitrogen and Rolling Mills plants, working his way up through many positions to that of a foreman. He served on the Geneva Recreation Association for many years and was instrumental in planning employee events. After retiring, he continued to work to stay busy and became a caregiver in assisted living centers, and later an environmental services employee for LDS church chapels. He always worked hard and was known for his upbeat attitude and charity for others. He was kind and happy and was a friend to all who knew him. We all love him and miss his jokes and happy nature.
