Born in Salt Lake City, Utah on January 18, 1943, died July 9, 2010 in Spanish Fork,Utah from a long illness. Ron is the oldest child of Raymond G. Jensen and June Bunkall Jensen. Married Marites Palola September 14, 2005 in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur Philippines.
Ron graduated from Granite High School in Salt Lake City where he was active as an officer in the Seminary program. Immediately after Graduation he joined the Army Reserve and did his training at Fort Ord, California. He then served in the Alaskan Canadian mission, spending time in Vancouver, B.C. and Anchorage, Alaska. Ron graduated from Brigham Young University where he was a member of the International Folk Dancers. Ron always loved to dance and was also a DJ spinning records at many of the local dances. He also loved to ski and was a ski instructor at Brighton Ski Resort for several years. Ron was always a hard worker and excelled in sales and marketing jobs. He loved nature, photography, reading, cooking, fishing, archery, shooting and finding thrift store treasures. Ron was writing a book at the time of his death. His recent life included extended visits to the Phillippines where he married his sweetheart Tess and enjoyed a new relationship with her two children Princess and RJ and Tess' extended family. Ron was able to bring Tess (and more recently the children) to live here in the United States. They settled in Spanish Fork where they both love the place. They have been active in their Mt. Nebo LDS ward where they have many kind and generous friends.
Survived by wife, Marites Palola, her children, Princess Lhyn Palola and RJ (Randolph James) Palola. Children from previous marriages, Todd (Jensen) Dewsnup, Tahei (Jensen) Pack, Kanani (Jensen) Pack, Angela Jensen, grandchildren, Holly Jensen and Josie Dewsnup. Also survived by mother, June B. Jensen, sister Patricia Ann Schafer (Tom), brother Kerry Jensen (Lucy Fairchild) and nephews Dylan Jensen Rodgers, Jonathan Rand Rodgers (Catie), great-nephew Eli Fox Rodgers.
The family wishes to thank all of the Mt. Nebo Ward members and close friends and neighbors who continue to lend their love and hearts to Ron and Tess. We also must thank Ron's home health nurses, Collete Kolesar and Dawn Right, from Hearts for Home for their amazing kindness and care throughout his illness. Special thanks to Collete for your friendship and always patiently being there. May God bless all of you.
