Ronald Clair Symes, 70, passed away July 21st. Born to Clair Wyley and Minerva Nowers Symes, June 4,1941. Graduated Highland High School 1959. Married Cheryl (Cherie) Madron in 1968. Retired after 30 years of service with the Utah State Board of Education as a computer supervisor.
During his lifetime he enjoyed many years of hunting and boating with family and friends. Ron and his father enjoyed showing their 1957 Chrysler Crown Imperial.
Served in the US Air Force, Vietnam Veteran, stationed in Newfoundland and Louisiana.
Survived by wife; three daughters: Julie (Lee) Thatcher, Jenni (Steve) Christiansen, Ronica (Matthew Graves); sister Raelynn (Tom) Swenson. Blessed with four grandchildren: Casey, McKenzie, Aaron, and Zaybri.
In his honor a memorial celebration will be held at the Crystal Inn and Suites, 818 East Winchester (6400 South) on Friday, July 29th, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Please come with your favorite "Ron Story".
In lieu of flowers a contribution in Ron's name would be appreciated to the University Neuropsychiatric Institute (UNI), contact Mary Talboys, Associate Administrator (801) 587-3115.
