Rosa Marta Chvez

1930 ~ 2012 Salt Lake City, UT-Our beloved mother passed away Thursday, November 8, 2012. Marta was born in San Salvador, El Salvador. She married Raul Ortiz in 1947. Together they raised eight children until the tragic death of Raul and the age of 41. Rosa was left to raise all of the children on her own. She immigrated to the United States in 1978, and was later joined by her daughters Ana, Elsa, Lillian and Sara. Rosa enjoyed reading her Bible and watching TV. She moved to Utah in 1998. Rosa was preceded in death by her husband Raul, and sons Roberto and Carlos. She is survived by her daughters, two sons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 10th at Mt. Calvary Church, located at 3100 S. 3200 W. in West Valley City beginning at 1p.m. Funeral services are under the direction of Sereni Care Funeral Home
