Rosalie Rae Richey

Rosalie Rae (Hughes) Richey
My loving wife and our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend returned home to her Father in Heaven on Saturday, October 13, 2012, surrounded by many loved ones.
Rosalie was born on May 1, 1931 in Lehi, Utah to Arville and Lila Curtis Hughes.
Rosalie graduated form Jordan High School and married her eternal companion and love of her life, Ralph Robert Richey Sr. on September 23, 1949.
Rosalie always considered Sandy, Utah her home, but also lived in St. George and California at various times in her life.
She had a love for collecting coins which was shared with many.
She was a member of the LDS church and enjoyed many callings. Together with her sweetheart they served a mission in the Nuku'alofa Tonga mission and at the St. George Utah historical sites.
She worked faithfully at the Jordan River Temple for 11 years.
Rosalie's greatest achievements were her grandchildren and great grandchildren of whom she was very proud.
Rosalie was always an advocate for the under dog, and hated to see anyone hurt or feeling bad. She had a kind, gentle and loving touch and had a way of spreading sunshine wherever she went.
We will miss her sparkling blue eyes and hearing her tell us she "Loved us so".
Her greatest passion was her family and her sweetheart Bob. She possessed a sweet and loving soul, whose kindness touched everyone she encountered.
She will forever be in our hearts; we were all blessed to know her. She was our little piece of heaven, truly an angel on earth. Until we meet again, Ro Ro, We Love You So!
She is survived by her husband, 4 children: Ralph Richey Jr. (Leann), Kevin Richey (Kaye), Sue Ann Stringham (Bart) Jeffrey Richey (Jody), 17 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, her sisters Jerry Hughes Densley, Linda Hughes and brother Lyle Hughes. Preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Barta Swenson, Janet Nickle, and her son Ronnie Richey.
Funeral services Wednesday, October 17, at 11:00 a.m. at the Holladay 27th Ward house, 5450 South Holladay Blvd. A viewing will be held prior to the service at the same location from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
