Ross J. Aguirre 1946 ~ 2011 Ross J. Aguirre, 65, son of Ross Aguirre and J. Isabel Peterson was a wonderful and loving son, brother, uncle and friend. He had a good heart, gentle nature, a ready smile and a joke to make you smile, too. He was born in Margarita Canal Zone, the American territory of Panama on June 12, 1946. He died July 19, 2011 with his only sibling, his sister Sandra at his side, three of her five children and a friend. Ross served in Korea and kept the moments of his life alive with countless pictures and letters. His passion was Toastmasters where throughout the years, he served and was the recipient of many awards. Proud of his friendship with Frank Sinatra and other celebrities, he enjoyed their music and movies. Disinterested in the complexities of life, he became a cab driver. Named "Salt Lakes Very Own Cab Driver" for his prolific ability to speak over ten languages and converse with visitors in their native tongue. He is survived by his sister Sandra Montanino, her husband Gennaro. Nephews: Jerry, Joey. Nieces: Lisa Holt, Cristina Heim, Ann-Marie Baker, and 12 great nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 29 at the LDS Church at 1300 E Fairfax Rd, Salt Lake City at 12:00 noon with the viewing from 10-11a.m.
