Rudy A Valdez

Rudy A. Valdez Rudy entered in to the kingdom of Heaven in the early morning hours of September 15, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family. Rudy was born July 12, 1953 in Olathe, Colorado to Jose and Mary Valdez, the youngest of ten children. He married Lea LaRose on March 11, 1988 in Salt lake City, Utah and they were inseparable from that point forward. Gramps treasured his time with his family and especially enjoyed time hanging out with his grandchildren with his faithful dog, Precious, who was always on his lap. He also enjoyed his time sitting on the porch "smok'n" and his time just taking it easy. Rudy was also very proud of his '56 Chevy which he seemed to be continually polishing. Rudy enjoyed being around his family and doing the things he loved with the people he loved - his family. We love you Dad and we are missing you dearly as we will everyday - you were the best father anyone could ever have and you taught us a lot of lessons. Rudy is survived by his wife of twenty-four wonderful years, Lea, sons Rudy (Krista) Valdez, Eli (Dana) Valdez, both of Salt lake City; daughter Trudy (Ricardo) Mondragon, Tooele; stepchildren Gina (Nate) Mull, Maria Stevens, Heather (Mitchell) Altaha all of San Carlos, Arizona; Bart (Jacque) of Albuquerque, NM. Grandchildren, Melissia, Rosalee, Mercedes, Angel, Rudy III, Christian, Dominic, Chance, Chelsea, Kassidy, Selena, Matthew, Eladio, Jesse, Mika, Lori Jane, Xen, Adrian and Ian; nine Great Grandchildren; two sisters, Lordes Chacon, Tooele; Julia Nelson, WA and many nieces and nephews. Rudy was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Ramona; brothers, Joe, Leon, Fred, Richard, Toby, Ray and his grandson Eli Fernando Mondragon. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church 715 West 300 North on Saturday, September 17, 2011at 1 PM. Interment will be at the Tooele City Cemetery next to his cherished grandson.
