Samuel Anthony Giovanini Sr. returned to the loving arms of his Heavenly Father on September 26th, 2011, after battling esophageal cancer. In the days prior to his passing, he was surrounded by many close friends and family members. Samuel recieved his Masters of Social Work from Arizona State University, and became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. His passion was helping others, and he ran mental health private practices in Richfield and Price for twelve years. Samuel was born in Eugene, Oregon on December 22, 1962. He was the first of seven children born to Antone and Anita Giovanini. He served as a full-time missionary for the LDS church in the Philidelphia, Pennsylvania Mission. After returning home, he met his bride-to-be, Armeda May Carpenter, in his home ward. They were married and sealed for time and all eternity in the Oakland, California temple on December 17, 1983. They are the parents of three loving children: Samuel Anthony Jr (Andrea), Angelina Christine (Kasey), and Rick Angelo; and have two beautiful grandchildren: Ayden Kasey and Khloe Christine DeLange. He enjoyed spending time with his family and playing with his grandkids, and was blessed with time to do much of both in his last days. He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, and parents. He is also survived by his four brothers: Fred, Bill, Tony, and David; and his sister, Annie. He was preceded in death by his baby brother Johnny. A viewing will be held Friday September 30th, 2011, from 10:00-10:45 a.m., followed by a Funeral Service from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the Geneva Heights 3rd Ward building, 857 W 800 N, Orem, UT.
