Our loving sister, daughter, and friend Sandra Sabey, age 65, passed away September 19, 2011. Sandy was born August 30, 1946 in American Fork, Utah to Soren and Fern Walker Sabey.
Sandy loved her family and friends and very much appreciated the support and care given to her by them. Sandy maintained a positive attitude and zest for life through many years of health challenges. She was an active member of the LDS church and also appreciated the support and love she received from the members of her ward.
Sandy grew up in Afton, Wyoming and graduated from Star Valley High School. She then attended BYU and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. She pursued her career of teaching elementary age children during most of her 32 years teaching 1st grade at Greenwood Elementary in American Fork, Utah. She spent a lot of care and time in preparing each year for the new school year and was more than just a teacher to her many students. Sandy was always running into past students who would acknowledge and talk to "Miss Sabey". She was loved and respected by all.
