Selma Williams Yearsley, devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Friend, age79, graduated from this life, July 3, 2012, at home in Magna, Utah. She loved her children, missed her eternal mate, and slipped away peacefully with family nearby.
She was born June19, 1933 in Malad, Idaho, to Leland and Zelpha Williams. Selma married her high school sweetheart Earl Yearsley in the Logan Temple May 4, 1951.
Mom enjoyed the arts, caring for others, her family, faithfully serving in the LDS Church, and especially loved her ten years of service in the Salt Lake Temple.
She is survived by daughters Nancy Yearsley, Christine Spencer (Rick), Betty Perkins (Mark), Marilee Hughes, Janice Korhonen (Jon); Sons, Gary (Pam), Grant, Paul (Debbie), Dan; 36grandchildren, and 39 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Earl, sisters Nadine Conrad and Neva Christensen, grandsons Michael and Greg Yearsley.
Services will be Tuesday July 10, 11:00 am at the Spencer 3rd LDS Ward Chapel, 8181 Breeze Dr., Magna, Utah. Viewing will be Monday 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Spencer 3rd Ward and Tuesday one hour prior to services. Interment, Malad City Cemetery, Malad, Idaho at 4:00 pm.
