Shirley Kay Mortensen

Shirley Kay Mortensen passed away November 19, 2023 in her home.  She was born June 19, 1965 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Ron and Sharon Wilberger.  She attended Kearns High School and attended class at Salt Lake Community College.

Shirley was a devoted CNA and then a Registered Nurse working in the homecare and hospice industry before she retired.   She received a State award for Director of Nursing.  

She loved hunting, fishing and horseback riding.  She also loved artistic pursuits such as scrapbooking and making wreaths.  Most of all she loved working with the elderly.  

She is survived by her two sons:  Nick (McKenzi) Mortensen and Cory Wilberger.  She is also survived by her mother, Sharon;  beloved grandson, Colter and sister-in-law, Kathy Wilberger.  

She is preceeded in death by her father and brother Jerry Wilberger.
