Shyrl N. Huff "The Big Buwana"
Shyrl N. Huff, 58, passed away July 22, 2008 from complications of Asbestosis and Pancreatic Cancer.
Shyrl was born November 6, 1949 in Spanish Fork to Darrell and Betty Ney Huff. Shyrl served four years in the U.S. Navy on the USS Forrestal. He married Gloria Evans Aug. 20, 1976. Shyrl had a unique sense of humor. His motto was "If your not havin' fun, your not doin' it right". He enjoyed a good practical joke at the expense of his friends and family. He loved his coffee shop friends dearly. And we had better mention his infamous "siren"! Shyrl lived for hunting and every type of outdoor sports. He was employed as a welder at Ash Grove Cement where he was a legend and made many special friends.
Shyrl is survived by his wife Gloria, his proudest accomplishment - his three children; Travis Huff, Arliss Huff, and Whitney (Feather) Huff , his grandchildren; Jaquelle and Justin Huff. He is also survived by his father Darrell J. Huff, and his brothers Richard (Susan) Huff and Lamar (Ava) Huff, and foster sons Ricardo & Mauricio Lacayo.
Shyrl was proceeded in death by his mother Betty Huff and his mother & father-in-law, Wendell and Ruth Stewart Evans.
The family can not thank enough the many angelic care givers who have helped us down this rocky path. A special appreciation goes to Dr. Walter Adam for his friendship as well as his care.
