Steven Barry Hawkins

Steven Barry Hawkins, our loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother passed away January 3, 2008.
He was born October 26, 1936 in Blanding, Utah to Parker and Samuella Hawkins.
He fought a valiant fight of Lymphoma Cancer.
Survived by his loving wife, Patricia Hawkins and daughters; Alisha (Timothy) Croall and Cari (Jeff) Peabody, grandchildren; Emily, Tyler, Ashley, and Riley Croall and Brittney, Steven, Trevor and Bryce Peabody, siblings; Ted (Lois) Hawkins, Greg (Larene) Hawkins, Virginia (Dave) Bryant and Dorthea (Ben) Grimes.
Steve was an Eagle Scout and played many sports in high school and college. He served a mission in Uraguay/Paraguay. Steve married his high school sweetheart, Pat in the Salt Lake Temple in 1959. Graduated from the U of U. He was chairman of the board of Trustco Ins. Co. which he dearly loved. He served as Rotary President. He taught early morning seminary. He was Bishop of the Santa Susanna, Ca. and Orchard 6th wards. He loved the people and loved serving them. He worked in the Salt Lake and Bountiful Temple for 10 plus years. Steve was loved by many and will be missed by all that knew him.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 7, at 11:00 am. A viewing will be held on Sunday, January 6, from 6 - 8 pm. and one hour prior to service on Monday at the Orchard 6th Ward, 3599 South Orchard Dr, Bountiful, Utah. Interment at Wasatch Lawn Cemetery.
