Steven Robert Robinson

Steven Robert Robinson 1969 ~ 2009 Steven Robert Robinson, 40, died unexpectedly Saturday morning, November 21st at his home in Orem from complications of illness. Born June 22, 1969 in Provo, he was the son of Robert E. Robinson and Kathleen (Holman) Robinson of American Fork. He and Rebecca Robison, daughter of Parley and Ilean Robison of Provo, were married September 9, 1988 in Provo. He is survived by his wife and five children: Collin Ty, Justin Robert (serving a church mission in Chile), Calix Sky, Jillian Nichole, and Landon Parker; eight brothers and sisters: Lance Edward (Helen) Robinson of Canyon, Texas, Rene' (Michael) Holm of Midway, Utah, DeeAnn (Steven) Hoffmann of Robinson, Texas, Janell (Bradley) Bryan of Midway, Utah, Susan (Travis) Hall of Saratoga Springs, Utah, David Paul (Kimberlee) Robinson of Ridgefield, Washington, Laura Jean Robinson of Vashon Island, Washington, Angela Marie Robinson of American Fork, Utah and twenty-two nieces and nephews. Mr. Robinson was employed as a computer technician at Symantec Corporation in Lindon. He enjoyed the people with whom he worked. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many positions in the church. He particularly enjoyed working with the boy scouts, taking them on camp-outs and to his mountain cabin where they enjoyed outdoor activities. He enjoyed his Primary class--his last church calling. Steven loved most being with his family on camp-outs, to movies, climbing , on hikes, at family parties, during holidays, at family reunions, and on vacations. His love of the outdoors created a respect for things of nature. He loved skiing and other winter sport activities, but he especially loved snowmobiling. He particularly enjoyed going camping in the mountains with his family. He enjoyed sports and coached several--his last a youth soccer team. He played the guitar, and liked music of many kinds. His fishing trips with his dad and brothers were especially relaxing, where he would sit in the boat and "solve" the world's problems--not really caring if he caught fish. His cheerful attitude drew him close to those around him. He would often frolic with his children, nieces and nephews. His personality and unpretentious style endeared him to children and adults. He looked forward to family reunions with his relatives--especially reminiscing with his cousins. His acts of kindness in which he freely gave of his time and means blessed the lives of many. He was always willing to go when called to help his friends and neighbors. His upbringing at home, in church, and in school helped shape the genuine, caring man he became. His honesty, forthrightness, sense of fair play, sense of humor, devotion to family and love of nature will live on through those he influenced and loved. He will be remembered as one who loved life, his family and his many friends. He leaves an inspirational legacy of kindness and love for all to cherish and emulate. Those wishing to express condolences please extend a hand to help another, smile and be kind to all. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 28 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1200 North 950 West, Orem, Utah.
