SuEllyn Call Mortensen passed away February 25, 2008 in Orem, Utah. She was born October 12, 1955 in Biloxi, Mississippi to Clarence and Rita Call.
SuEllyn has lived a full and active life of service to other people, family, friends, and strangers alike. She learned at an early age that serving other people brought her great joy. She was never looking for compensation or even recognition; she just loved doing things for people. She worked as a volunteer Girl Scout leader for many years bringing many experiences and adventures to the girls in her troop. Week long camps, Disneyland, trip to Hawaii, just to mention a few.
She was always active in many callings in the LDS church in her ward and stake. Cub scouts, Young women, primary, stake young women, relief society, and stake out reach program. She loved cake decorating and quilt making and she did many of both, and also all kinds of baking. In the early years of her marriage, she received her student pilot license and loved flying solo around Utah Valley. She is a remarkable person, outstanding mother, and the perfect wife. She is loved by all who know her and she will be missed by many.
She is survived by her husband DeeVere, her son Daniel, and her daughter Nellie. She is also survived by her parents of Sacramento, Ca, and her siblings, Gaylene Jensen of Exeter Calif. Jolene Elmer, Fay Wassom, Christian and Benson Call of Sacramento, and Matiu Call of Mountain Home, Idaho.
A Viewing will be held Feb 27, 08 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at 1075 West 1100 North Orem, Utah. Funeral Services will be held February 28, 08 at 1:00 pm. With a viewing one hour prior to services at the same location. Online condolences may be submitted to www.serenicare.com.
