Tanner Earl Henstra returned to his Heavenly Father after a severe allergic reaction to peanut butter. Tanner was 11 years old, born on January 18, 2002. He passed away on Saturday, April, 20, 2013 after being life-flighted to Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. Tanner impacted the lives of everyone around him. He was a friend to everyone and loved cracking jokes and making people laugh. He excelled at everything; school, wrestling, football, and being a son and brother. He was a great example to all of his friends and family. Tanner had been a member of the LDS church since his baptism at the age of 9. His family is comforted knowing that he is with his Father in Heaven and that they will get to see him again someday. He survived by parents, Micheal Henstra and Stacie Bird-Henstra, his brother, Zane T. Henstra, and his sisters, Makenzi E. Bird and Madison S. Henstra. His viewing will be Friday, April 26th from 7 to 9 pm and his funeral will be Saturday, the 27th, at noon. Both will be held at the Lava Flow Chapel, 1625 Lava Flow Dr., in St. George, Utah. All are encouraged to wear yellow to the funeral, yellow being Tanner's favorite color. Tanner's beautiful soul will be missed.
