Our husband, father, grandfather and friend returned to our Heavenly Father on April 10, 2008.
Ted Draper passed away at the Art City Rehab Care Center in Springville, Utah. He was born to Chauncy Draper and Lela Baldwin on August 13, 1935 in Huntington, Utah, where he spent his early youth. During high school, his family moved to Provo where he played football. He married Hazel Harding on November 30, 1956 (later divorced). Four sons were born to their union. Ted spent a year in Juneau, Alaska, working as a meteorologist, before returning to BYU. His schooling was interrupted for two years while serving in the military. He served in Killeen, Texas and Firth, Germany. After being released from the service, Ted returned to school and later received his Bachelor's Degree. He went to work for the Campbell Soup Company in Sacramento, California. They later returned to Utah were he held various jobs, including the Post Office, where he later retired. He married Cheryl Elkins and had a daughter.
Ted is survived by his wife, Erlinda, sons; Brian (LaShelle), Russell (Tammy), Douglas (Wendy) and Scott; one daughter, Pearl Mesa; one sister Donna (Robert) Beeson, seven grandchildren and two step-children, Gean Loyola and Propector L Celino Jr..
The family would like to express their thanks to the many caregivers at the Art City Rehab Care Center and Vista Care Hospice.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 15 at 10:30 a.m. at the Payson Mountain View Stake Center 75 South 600 East in Payson, Utah. Family and friends may attend a viewing one hour prior to services. Interment at Utah Veterans Memorial Park Cemetery
