Terri Ann Nichol
Terri Ann Nichol returned to her Heavenly Father March 25, 2012. She was born May 1, 1955 in East Carbon, Utah to Gareth J. and Lilli Ann Peterson. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and daughter. Terri graduated from Murray High School. She married William P. Griffith (later divorced) with whom she shares four beautiful children. She spent many years devoted to raising her young children. She later married Scott J. Nichol with whom she shares a stepson. Terri then worked for Southwest Airlines which she really enjoyed. She loved her walks on the parkway, her cats, her plants, dancing, going to the races, temple work, spending time with her family and doing thoughtful things for those she loved. When spending time with grandchildren, the room was always full of laughter. She was very creative and a talented artist. She is survived by her husband, Scott Nichol, parents Gareth and Lilli Peterson, children Jessica (Jarred) , Natalie (Bronson), James, Crystal (Joe), Zachary and grandchildren Alexis, Jayden, Jameson, Noelle, Ashton and Hunter. We will miss your beautiful smile. You will be in our hearts forever. Graveside service will be held at the West Jordan City Cemetery on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at noon. The cemetery is located at 7800 South 1300 West, West Jordan, Utah.

Family Memories
Letter from Grandson Ashton 5 years old:
I remember going to see the ducks at the park. Walking to the bridge. We drop leaves into the water and watch them float away. She would bring us candies and coloring pages.
Love always,
Ashton.

Letter from Grandson Hunter 5 years old:
I remember looking for heart leaves. Going to the blue, red and yellow parks. She would give me alot of candy.
Love always,
Hunter.
Terri was a special person in my life, a "sweet daughter-in-law". She was a good mom, I always had current pictures of my grandchildren and what was going on in their lives. My husband and I had many Sunday dinners and special occasions with Paul and Terri and the children. She was so talented and creative, she loved animals. I loved Terri and so did my husband.

How wonderful to love and raise a beautiful daughter who loved to learn new things. Terri loved school so much that when she had friends over she'd say "Let's play school!". She liked to study and got excellent grades. Always she was a perfectionist and even as a small child, always colored in the lines. She was an artist even as a youngster, wanted to grow up to be an artist. She loved all art media and loved to use charcoal. She framed her work herself and gave them to us for our home. She took dancing lessons from four years old to a teenager-tap, jazz and ballet. She loved to go to dance reviews. She, along with five other dancers from high school, entered a talent show and won a competition and got on the Eugene Jelisic talent show on television. Terri raised four children and was such a good and fun Mom. She worked for an advertising company to help pay for the girls' dance lessons and for James to play in 'little league' and other sports. She loved to make her children happy. She will be deeply missed by all, and especially by her husband, children, and her parents. See you for all eternity.
Love,
Mom and Dad

The family would like to share letters from loved ones in Montana unable to attend funeral service. Letter from Granddaughter Alexis 13 years old:
Dear Grandma Terri,
I remember when you took me "frog hunting" and we had so much fun. I also remember how you used to help me wrap up all my toys and baby dolls! I hope it's nice in heaven, please watch over me and my family and give Tasha a good pet for me. I'm so sorry that you went through all that you did, and I'm so sorry that you were in pain. I'm really sorry that I ever avoided talking to you, I just didn't like to hear that you weren't feeling, or doing well. I am also really sorry if you suffered, which I truly truly hope that you didn't, and I just hope you are great and feeling no more pain wherever you are. You will always be in my prayers, and thoughts, and I just want you to know that I love you soo soo much. I always have, and always will! Thank you for always being such a fun grandma, and sending me all those cute little gifts! I have the "Annie necklace" that you gave to my mom that says "I love you" on it, and I will keep it forever. I just wish that I could give you a hug more than anything in the world. But, I will not grieve, because I know deep in my heart that you are in a better place, and you don't have to wake up today and suffer. I truly, deeply, love you sooo very much, rest in peace grandma.
Love always & forever.
Letter from Grandson Jayden 8 years old:
Dear Grandma,
I remember when we used to play at the park by your house. I had a lot of fun. Thanks for all the dollar store toys and trinkets you used to send me and sis. I also will think of you every time I play with my talking hamster toy that I love so much. I will always love and miss you. Hope you are in heaven playing with Tasha. We miss her. Love you.
Letter from son-in-law Jarred:
Terri,
I am so sorry, I don't think anyone really understood. You are loved and missed and will be for a long time. I hope you are in a better place, I know you are. May you and your soul rest in peace. You will always be a beautiful memory.
