Thelda Ann Phillips, 91, lifelong resident of Salt Lake City, died Jan. 19, 2008 at Holladay Healthcare Center in Holladay. She was born Aug. 12, 1917 in Salt Lake City to Bernard and Ann Olivia Davis Parker. She married Ivan M. Phillips on July 30, 1939 in Salt Lake City. He died May 10, 1980.
She was a home maker, mother and excellent seamstress. In her earlier years she had served as a Girls Scout Leader. She was extremely independent and very energetic.
She is survived by her children: Brian (Jole') Phillips of Littleton, Colo., Fred (Sheryl) Phillips of Fallon, Nev., Elaine Smalley of Salt Lake City, Keith (Bonnie) Phillips of Deville, Louisianna, Barbara (Jerry) Haslam of Salt Lake City, 10 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, sister: Dorothy (Fran) Hoppas of Sun City West, Ariz. And Helen Diamond of Sun City, California. She was preceded in death by her husband, 6 sisters and 2 brothers.
At her request there will be no services. The family wishes to express gratitude to Holladay Healthcare Center for their tender care and love.
