Travis Carling Tingey beloved father, husband, son, brother, grandson and uncle unexpectedly passed away on April 18, 2010 at his home in West Jordan. Travis was born May 20, 1971. Son of Steven & RuthAnn Carling Tingey in Salt Lake City. He graduated with honors from Bingham High School in 1989. Attended SUU in Cedar City, UT, and graduated from U of U in 1994. He is a member of the LDS church. He married Beth Anne Scronce on May 28, 1994 in Murray, Ut. They are the proud parents of two children. Paige age 14 and Gavin age 13. Travis has been employed by UPS for 15 years, currently as a supervisor. He also prepared softball diamonds for S.L. County Parks. He had a great love of the outdoors, enjoying snowboarding, wakeboarding, camping and jeeping in Moab. Travis had a passion for skateboarding and loved spending time at the skate parks with his son Gavin. Travis was easy going, kind and loved spending time with family and friends. He was always more than wiling to help others. He enjoyed and loved his younger nieces and nephews and got some of the biggest smiles out of them. Survived by wife; children; parents; brother's Shane (Idy), Blake (Caryn); Sister Shaelyn (Chad Fox); grandfather Grover Carling; mother-in-law Carolyn (Dick Durshel); brother-in-law Mike Scronce (Yolanda); aunts; uncles; cousins; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by grandmother Irene Carling; grandparents Willard and Marr Tingey; and father-in-law Blair Scronce. The memorial services will be held Sat. April 24, 2010, at the LDS wardhouse on 5349 W. 9000 So., West Jordan, Ut; with a viewing from 10a.m. to 12p.m. followed by the funeral at 12:30p.m. Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetry, 10600 so. 1950 east in Draper. Travis will always be loved and missed by all who knew him. Happy skating forever. In lieu of flowers, donations for his children may be made to the Travis Tingey Donations Fund at Zion's Bank.
