Verginia Jenkins

Virginia Whittaker Jenkins was born March 18, 1928 to Earl Rexford Whittaker and Elva Lauree Dalton, in Circleville, Utah. She peacefully returned to her Heavenly Father on Nov. 8, 2009, after a long illness. Virginia graduated from Piute High School in 1946, and attended Brigham Young University. Virginia married Ronald Dee Jenkins in the Salt Lake Temple on Sept. 10, 1947. They had seven children, JeanneLauree Olsen, Orem, UT; Barry Rexford Jenkins (deceased); Rhonda (Mark) Skidmore, Mesa, AZ; Russell Nord Jenkins, Oceanside, CA; Mary Kathryn, aka Kathy (Jon) Skidmore, Orem. UT; Brian Earl (Diana) Jenkins, Saratoga Springs, UT; Christopher, aka Tiffer, (Jenna) Jenkins, Cedar Hills, UT. They have 29 Grandchildren and over 30 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Virginia is survived by her husband, Ronald, 6 of their 7 children, her two brothers, Arthur Rexford (Helen) Whittaker, Kaysville, UT, and Mardell (Nita) Topham, Sandy, UT. Virginia was a business woman, fostered over 100 kids, was a real estate broker and was a smart classy lady. The family wishes to thank the angels at Rocky Mountain Hospice and Harmony Hospice; especially Carmen Rivera who lovingly cared for her. Funeral Services will be held Thurs. Nov. 12 at 11:30 a.m. at the LDS Suncrest 6th Ward, 891 West 130 North, Orem, UT 84057. A viewing will take place beginning at 10 am.
