Viliami Topui 'Otuafi left this mortal life peacefully on Monday, October 8, 2012 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on October 10, 1949 to Taloa Pasina 'Otuafi and 'Ana Vea Katoa 'Otuafi in Ha'alaufuli, Vava'u.
Topui attended Liahona High School in Tonga Islands. He continued his education briefly at the Church College of Hawaii, while in Hawaii he met the love of his life Mele Taufa Fonokalafi.
He worked and retired from American Airlines for over thirty years as a fleet service clerk. He was also a union representative.
Topui also served as Temple Ordinance worker at the Jordan River Temple.
He lived a life of hard work, self less service for his community and church but most importantly sharing his love for his family and friends.
He will be missed by all who have come to know him.
He leaves behind his wife and Eternal Companion of 40 years, and a beautiful family. Mele Taufa Fonokalafi, 4 children: Ana Michelle Kinikini (Kime), Viliami T. 'Otuafi Jr., Taniela Laulotu 'Otuafi (Nicole), and Finau 'Otolose Tuiaki (Malakai), 22 grandchildren: Elini Kinikini, Haitelenisia Kinikini, Dyan Rose Kinikini, Sunia Kinikini, Takapautolo Kinikini, Liahona Kinikini, Mele-Lilo Auhangamea Kinikini, Edgar Otuafi, Malakai Otuafi, Kiele, Carma Otuafi, Alaimele Otuafi, Topui Otuafi, Masao Otuafi, Finau Otuafi, Vika Heilala Nusipalataha Tuiaki, Mele Musie Tuiaki, Louvina Taueva Tuiaki, Tangivale Kona'i Tuiaki, 'Ana Vea Tuiaki, & 'Ilaisa Manufekai Tuiaki. He also leaves behind numerous friends from the beautiful islands of Tonga, to the the United States as well.. He was a friend to all.
A viewing will be held on Friday October 12, 2012 from 5pm to 10pm. Funeral services will be held at 12pm on Saturday October 13, 2012. Location is the Fort Union Stake Center 540 East 7155 South Midvale UT 84047.
Funeral Service will be directed by SereniCare Funeral Home. Internment at Redwood Memorial Estates.
