Virginia Gertrude Johnson

Virginia Gertrude Johnson passed away on March 15, 2009 at her home in Alpine, Utah. Virginia was born July 11, 1918 in Midvale, Utah to Gertrude Octavia Drage and Lorne Christian Mann. She married Edward LeRoy Johnson, December 30, 1954 in Salt Lake City, who preceded her in death two years ago.
Virginia's was a life of responsibilities fulfilled. Family was what she loved and served. Friendship was the hallmark of her life and she had many friends. She had high expectation for her family and was always willing to do all she could to help them achieve their goals. She brought them together and reached out to bring joy to their lives. She will have many loved ones there to greet her as she arrives at her next destination.
Virginia is survived by her daughter, Bonnie S. Parker (David A.); a stepson, Stephen E. Johnson (Dorothy); grandchildren: David Randall Parker (Melanie), Julie Kristin Scott (Leslie John), and Christi Lynne Jackson (Brett); 42 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; 2 brothers: Robert L. Mann (Betty) and Eddie C. Mann (Loretta); and a sister, Patricia Jex.
The family wishes to express appreciation to Applegate Hospice Care workers for their generous help and loving care.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 21, 2009 at the Alpine Cove Ward, 1125 E. Alpine Blvd. in Alpine, Utah. Friends and family may call at the Church for a viewing one hour prior to the services. Interment at Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 E. 4580 S. in Murray, Utah.
