Virginia Jean Shaw

Virginia Jean Small Shaw left this earth and arrived home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 12, 2017. Virginia was born on December 31, 1928 in Springfield, Illinois to Earnest Small and Margaret McQuilkin Small.

Virginia grew up in Springfield, Illinois before marrying William Bernard Shaw in 1950 and then moving to Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1958. She had two children, Scott William Shaw and Victoria Jean Shaw Vallese.

Virginia was a dear, faithful and loving mother, wife, and friend to many. Always encouraging, never complaining no matter what trial or tribulations she encountered; always leaning on her incredible faith in God. She was a beautiful example of a Christian woman to her family and so many others she came in contact with. She will be sorely missed.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Small and Margaret McQuilkin Small and her brothers, Walter Small and Charles Small. She is survived by her husband, William Bernard Shaw, her son, Scott Shaw of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, her daughter, Victoria Vallese of Kaysville, Utah, and her granddaughter's Daniel Shaw Svec and Hannah Vallese.
