Virginia Dell Stewart Yaeger passed away on March 1, 2012. She was born June 23, 1938 in Winslow, Arizona. Her parents were the late Joseph Leonard and Marjorie Stewart. She married the love of her life, the late Carl H. Yaeger, on September 7, 1957. They were later sealed in the Mesa Arizona Temple. They were married for 50 ½ years.
Virginia graduated from Arizona State University with a BA in Elementary Education. She later completed graduate work at BYU in Special Education. She worked in the education field in Southern California, the Provo School District and Utah Valley University. She was president of the Utah County Association For Learning Disabled Children, and was on the Provo City F.A.C.T. Board. Virginia was active in the LDS Church, serving in leadership, teaching and music callings. Her passion was her husband and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her five siblings, her children: Scott (Olene) Yaeger, Christina (Jaral) Ferwerda, Pamela (Tracy) Lindquist, Douglas (Marilyn) Yaeger, 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Alpine Hospice and Greenwood Manor for the loving care they provided Virginia.
Funeral services will be March 5, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing prior, beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the Lehi Stake Center, 200 N Center Street, Lehi, Utah. Burial will follow at the Provo City Cemetery.
It was her wish that donations be made to the LDS Church Perpetual Education Fund in lieu of flowers.
