Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister passed away July 26, 2007 at the age of 75 in Provo, Utah after a long and courageous battle with illness. Joy was born June 20, 1932 in Bancroft, Idaho to LeRoy Lewis and Pearl Higginson. In her youth, Joy was a talented dancer and taught at her own studio where she had many students who loved her. She attended LDS Business College and BYU. She married Clyde Christensen on December 14, 1951 in the Logan LDS Temple. They moved to Southern California where they raised 9 children. She enjoyed sewing, writing, poetry, painting, and having fun with her children. She blessed her children by teaching and living the Gospel. Mom had a great sense of humor that made everyone want to be around her. For the past 31 years they have lived in Utah surrounded by family. Her single greatest joy in life came from being a full-time wife and mother. She has served in the LDS church in many positions including 3 full time missions with her beloved husband. She portrayed an exemplary life of, faithfulness, service, and sacrifice. Joy is survived by her husband Clyde , and her children Tammy (Scott) Bradley of Logan, Tanya (Steve) Peterson of Tempe, AZ, Jan (Rex) Kocherhans of Orem, Ginger (Brent) Barrett of Centerville, Julie (Rob) Pinkston of Simi Valley CA, Lynda (Dwight) Warner of Bountiful, Ron (Jen) Christensen of Nephi, Don (Molly) Christensen of Orem, and Amy (Chris) Benson of Rocklin, CA; 46 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Eva Davids of Bancroft, ID and Sue Alder of Corona, CA.
