Wanda Ellis Lowther

Wanda Ellis Lowther, born September 27, 1943, twinkled into the great beyond June 9, 2009. All those who knew Wanda had the pleasure of experiencing her unique, eccentric take on life. Wanda was a magical personality, with big, sparkling, mischievous blue eyes, who could enchant and challenge with equal veracity.
Many of Wanda's interests included worldwide travel with her husband, (Jungle) Jim, synchronized swimming and its choreography, viewing and judging ice skating, gymnastics, ballet and modern dance, clay sculpting, and training and working with dogs and cats, in addition, she enjoyed all things that had to do with oceans, lakes and streams, especially dolphins, mermaids, forest fairies, lighthouses and fish. Dining out and eating fine food was a joy for Wanda, particularly those that contained fresh, ripe tomatoes and fresh fruits and vegetables. Wanda enjoyed exotic cheeses (especially Camembert), fried, heavily peppered potatoes, fresh caught fish (especially when snagged by a family member), and southern style fried chicken. As well as eating fine food Wanda enjoyed cooking and preparing it as a hobby, which worked nicely into her lifestyle since holiday entertaining was one of her specialties. Wanda loved people, smiles, conversation, hugs, and giving to others.
Some of Wanda's more well known sentiments included reminding people that - There's a little bit of truth in everything you say, I don't get mad - I get even, Pain is just another feeling, If you're going to do something - do it right the first time, Life is a gift, Age is an art, Always tell the truth - even if it hurts, Five is alive, and of course - Nine times anything always adds up to nine, thus Nine is fine. Since Wanda twinkled on the 9th, her surviving family and friends will know that 9 is indeed fine!
Wanda left a legacy of stories to share with everyone she knew and touched. Her family will celebrate her life and share their stories with all who wish to come on June 27, 2009 (2 + 7 = 9 tee-hee), at her home in Garden City, Utah - Bear Lake at 1:00 ish PM (as soon as all attendees have arrived). Furthermore, Wanda requested that anyone considering sending, or bringing, flower arrangements, please do not, but rather deposit the funds that they would have spent into their children's, grandchildren's, niece's, or nephew's college funds.
As Wanda would say, "Luv Ya, and see ya soon, XOXOXO."
