Wesley Claude Wade, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on January 21, 2011 in Orem, Utah. He was born on July 9, 1933, in Rawlins, Wyoming to Claude Eddie Wade and Jessie Marie Shurtliff. Wes married Charlene Wood on September 1, 1956, and were sealed for time and eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on February 17, 1959. He was the proud parent of one son, Wesley Cole (Kathy) of San Mateo, California; a daughter, Joi Jean Allerton (Sam) of Wentzville, Missouri; and a daughter, Tirzah Shirley (Marion) of Orem, Utah. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and one great-grandson. Wes graduated from Ogden High School and attended Weber College. He served four years in the US Navy and was assigned to the 4th Marines. He served as a medic in the Korean conflict. He served as a missionary for three years in the LDS Timpanogos Seminary and for six months in the Utah Valley Stake Institute. He filled many callings in the church. He was employed by the Railway Express as a relief agent. He later worked as an administrative assistant for the California School Employees Association. After moving back to Utah, he was employed by the LDS church as a maintenance supervisor. He loved fishing and camping, and he had a special interest in music and large cats, such as tigers and cougars. He will be greatly missed by all. Funeral services will be held January 26, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at the Aspen 2nd Ward LDS Chapel located at 1485 North 800 West.
