William (Bill) Oscar Christensen 1930 - 2008
William (Bill) Oscar Christensen passed away Sept 23, 2008 at his home in Spanish Fork, UT. He was born Oct 9, 1930 in Salt Lake City to Oscar Einer Christensen and Beatrice Hoover. Bill graduated from South High and attended the U of U. He met Betty G. Perryman in Pocatello, ID and they married on Nov 4, 1960 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They moved their young family to Petaluma, CA, settling in Rohnert Park, CA. Bill worked for various optical companies and doctors throughout his life, retiring from the optical shop he managed at Hamilton AFB in Novato, CA. Bill loved music, golf, and tennis. He sang in quartets and choirs, and played the piano throughout his life. As a supporting father, his six children succeeded in athletic, music, and academic activities. Bill served in many callings in the LDS church, recently completing a Service Mission with Betty. He built a legacy of faith for his children and grandchildren.

Bill is survived by his wife, Betty, his children Alan (René©e), Lynn (Deborah), Cynthia (Troy), Holly (Dennis), Pamela, Steven (Ashley), his sister Beverly LeFavor (Don), and 15 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct 3, at 11 am at the Canyon View LDS Chapel, 2162 E. Canyon Rd, Spanish Fork, UT. A viewing will be Thursday from 7-9 pm, and 10-11 am before the funeral service at the same chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Friends of Wasatch Mental Health, 750 N. 200 W., Provo, UT 84601 (Note: c/o Wasatch House).
