William Mark Ellis

William Mark Ellis Central, UT- William Mark Ellis, 72 passed away September 30, 2012, at Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George, UT. He was born August 2, 1940, in Spanish Fork, UT, to Victor and Leona Walkington Ellis. He married Deena Tippetts May 28, 1988, in the Manti LDS Temple.
Mark served a mission on the Navajo Reservation and became known as Dibe Yazzie (Little Lamb). He enjoyed growing plants and had a green thumb. He served for seven years as the eleven year old Scout leader. He was an active member of the LDS Church and was serving as the first counselor in the Central Ward Bishopric at the time of his death. He loved family history. Mark spent his life serving people and his family. He especially loved his grandchildren.
He is survived by: his wife Deena; children, Lora (Jeff) Harwood, Ron (Monique) Flake, Martin (Latwanna) Flake, James Flake; 13 grandchildren; siblings, Garry Ellis, Brent Ellis and Marie Huff; and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 8, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the Veyo LDS Chapel. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. also at the chapel. Interment will follow at the Central Cemetery.
