William Woodson Morton

William Woodson "Woody" Morton, age 68, died at home unexpectedly of natural causes, September 15, 2007 . He was born August 14, 1939 in Fallon, Nevada to William Francis Morton, Sr. and Ethal Southam. He married Mariann Larsen in 1958, they were later divorced. They had three sons together. On July 26, 1991 he married the love of his life, Sandy Finlinson, in the Manti Temple. They had two beautiful daughters together. Woody delighted in being a father and treasured his time with family. He was the consummate Good Samaritan, spending his life in generous and willing service. Woody was a truck driver and mechanic by profession, but was blessed with amazing hands that worked magic on anything he touched. He was a fixer of hearts and parts. Survived by his sweetheart, Sandy, and daughters, Lexus (14) and Lacey (12) of Pleasant Grove, sons Floyd (Wendy), Lance (Michele) and Rick (Holly), all of Vernal; bonus son Jim (Carri) Whitaker of Layton; 16 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; siblings Bill (Mollidean) Morton, Vernal, Bob (Carolina) Tonapa, Nv., and Betty (Newton) Brown, New Braunsfield, Tx. Preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, a sister and granddaughter. Viewing's will be held Friday, September 21, from 6-8, and Saturday 10-11 at the LDS Church 2195 N. 100 E. Pleasant Grove. Funeral services will immediately follow the viewing @ 11am, Saturday. In lieu of flowers, a trust fund has been set up @ Zions Bank (any location) in the name of Woody Morton for Lexus and Lacey Morton. Online condolences may be submitted to www.serenicare.com.
