William Allen Nevins

W. Allen Nevins, born Sept. 1st, 1926 passed away at home, surrounded by his family on March 19th, 2009. For those of us who loved him, we will remember him as a gentle, fair and decent man. At his death he left to his family and friends, no fear, no guilt, no dark secrets, only our own tears of love, respect, and affection. Our grief is tempered only by the sweet memories of the man and of a life well lived.
Pauline Underwood Nevins, Allen's wife of sixty years survives him. He leaves behind their daughter, Caroline Provost McHugh, her husband John McHugh and their children, Cricket and Johnny; and his son, Allen Page Nevins, his wife Kathryn and their children, Polly, Willy and Riley.
Our family gratefully thanks our many friends for their love and support; and wishes to acknowledge the Pinnacle Hospice for the tender and dignified care they afforded our dear husband, father and friend.
