He married Dorotha Ann Price on August 2, 1966 in Las Vegas, Nevada and made their first home in San Diego, California. Upon honourable discharge from the military, they moved to Utah and made their home in Sandy. He graduated from Utah Technical College and was the owner/operator of hair salons in Sandy where he enjoyed getting to know thousands of people over the years. He was a convert to the LDS church and enjoyed many callings in the church, especially the time he spent working with the youth and his service in the Manti temple. He had a very strong testimony of the gospel and demonstrated his beliefs in the way he cared for his family. He will be remembered for never letting any visitor to his home go hungry; he especially enjoyed cooking breakfast for his family and friends. He was a wonderful dad who took every opportunity to tell his wife, children and grandchildren how much he loved them.

She taught severe special education at multiple schools but mainly at Jordan Valley School and Hillcrest High School. Her students loved her and she loved them. She retired from Jordan School District in 2004. She was a life-long and faithful member of the LDS church and taught her children to appreciate differences and to love others. She dedicated her life to her family and was a foundation of support to her family and friends.
